A message from GRANT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT

Good Wednesday evening everyone.  This is Mr. Freeman emaling from Grant Elementary School with a midweek update for you.  I want to start by thanking everyone for your support of our Jog-a-Thon and Color Run last Friday.  Don’t forget to turn in your Jog-a-Thon money that your student raised running laps.  You can turn in your student’s envelope to their teacher.  This week have a few things happening.  We are celebrating Red Ribbon Week this week with a few dress up days to show school spirit and promote a drug-free life.  This Friday is the very popular Pajama Day.  Friday night Student Council will be throwing a Halloween Dance for 7th and 8th graders from 7:00-9:30 in the MUR.  The next big thing of course is our annual PTO Harvest Festival happening this Saturday from 2:00-6:00 in the Watson Gym.  We are still looking for guessing jars, candy, and volunteers to help with the set up Friday.  Volunteers can report to the gym after 2:00 on Friday.  The more the merrier.  You can drop off donations to either the Main Office or the District Office.  Thanks to all that have helped us out so far.  The Harvest Festival will be a great time for the whole family.  Food, games, prizes, and the 8th grade Haunted House are just a few of the highlights.  Thanks to PTO for making the Harvest Festival happen.  Before I let you go, I want to remind everyone of the importance of safety and cooperation in our before and after school parking procedures.  We want to emphasize the importance of not leaving vehicles unattended and making sure that we leave bus lanes and access to bus lanes open for our buses to be able to enter, load, and leave safely.  We appreciate your efforts to help us keep kids safe.  That’s it for me.  Let’s finish the week strong and Make Every Day Count.  GO COUGARS!
