Good Monday evening everyone. This is Mr. Freeman emailing with a look at a big week at Grant School. But first, let’s look back and give some thanks. First of all, I want to thank all of our parents and teachers for a great week of conferences. A week of minimum days gets a little crazy but it is worth it to set the stage for teachers and parents to get together and talk about kids. I also want to thank our fall coaches. Soccer, Volleyball, and Cross Country had great seasons and it would not be possible without our coaching staff. Thank you. And finally to our Sports Boosters for a record-setting Father/Daughter Dance Friday night. There were over 200 girls and their dates and Sports Boosters outdid themselves. Thanks for the tremendous support. Okay, this week is big. Tomorrow is our next Dine & Donate event at it is at Mary’s Pizza Shack. They will be accepting the Grant School flyer all day and proceeds of orders will go to our own PTO. We have our Site Council meeting on Tuesday and our Board Meeting Thursday night. Girls basketball teams are having tryouts this week as well. But the really big event is our annual Jog-a-Thon. The sky is blue, the air is clear, and the temps are in the 80s. Conditions are perfect to run some laps for some cash. Students will be putting in the laps to raise funds for their classroom so get behind and support them. Heck, come on out and run with them. Event parking will be available so come out and make a family event out of it. The day will wrap up with a Color Run for the 7th and 8th grade students. It is a great day and a great event. I hope to see you out there with us. That’s it for me tonight. Don’t forget about the Harvest Festival coming on Saturday, October 27th. You don’t want to miss it. Have a great night and GO COUGARS!
