Hello everyone and happy Monday evening from Grant Elementary School District. We are having all kinds of fun at Grant this week. There is a lot happening as we come down the home stretch. Our state testing kicked off today for grades 3-8 and it is time for our kids to show what they know! Tomorrow morning we will be holding our last Safety Committee Meeting of the year. It will be held at 9:00 in the VAPA Room. On the safety front, we will also be hosting a parent forum on school safety Thursday night at 6:30 in the Library. We will be having a Q & A session with local law enforcement officers and we will be talking to parents about their concerns and discussing those things that the district is doing to ensure safety for our students and our staff. Parents are encouraged to attend this event and be a part of the discussion. We will also be streaming this event on our Facebook page so that parents can participate by submitting questions in the comment section. Wednesday we will be having our next CEF Meeting. That will be happening at 7:00 in the Grigsby Library and we will be putting the finishing touches on our plans for our annual Thank You Pancake Breakfast. Mark your calendars because that event will be on May 30th. Before I let you go, I do want to encourage all of our parents to participate in our annual Parent Survey. This feedback is an essential piece to the development of our plans for next year and we really do want to know how we are doing. Please head to our web site, find the Parent Survey under the Parents tab, and take a minute to let us know what we can do to better meet the needs of your student.
This week is Staff Appreciation Week and I just want my entire staff know how much their everyday efforts are appreciated. What you do everyday matters. Thanks for all that you do! Let’s expect the best and finish the 2018-19 school year strong.
Thank you parents for all the support that you give us and for your time this evening. GO COUGARS!
