Good evening Grant School families.  This is Mr. Freeman emailing to welcome everyone back to school and give you all a quick preview of some upcoming events this week at Grant School.  I hope that everyone had an enjoyable break.  It sure was nice to see everyone back at school today.  This week we have a few things happening.  Let’s start with tomorrow.  Tomorrow we will be on a regular schedule.  In fact all this month we will have no minimum day Wednesdays.  We will have our monthly CEF Meeting in the Library at 7:00.  Thursday is a big day for our graduating 8th grade class.  Their annual Outback Dinner Fundraiser is Thursday from 5:30-7:00 with Outback dinner being served in our cafeteria.  8th graders are selling dinner tickets for $17 and they are almost sold out so get yours quick.  Students will be serving dinner in the cafeteria.  You can also order your dinner to go.  There will be a live and silent auction as well.  All of the proceeds go to raise funds for the 8th grade graduation activities so help them out if you can.  Parents of 8th graders are encouraged to put together theme baskets and donate live and silent auction items to help raise money.  Please contact Mr. Wilkinson or Mrs. Morris if you will be contributing something.  Also happening on Thursday will be our PTO Meeting at 3:00 in the Library.  Friday will be Blue and Gold Day so wear your school colors.  Sports Boosters will be meeting in the Conference Room at 8:15 and our GATE students will be heading to San Jose for their field trip.  Have a great time!  That’s a quick look at a short week.  For more information on any of these events, check out our website or like us on Facebook.  It’s the home stretch so let’s expect the best and finish strong.  GO COUGARS!
