Parent Engagement
VOLUNTEERS AND PRIVATE DRIVERS
Thank you for your interest in serving as a volunteer in our district. We welcome you to our school and preschool. The time that you give to our students is extremely important to the academic achievement of our students.
Before you can volunteer or chaperone a field trip, please submit a Volunteer Registration Packet. Completed forms should be submitted to Tracee Kelly in the District Office or you can email the document to tkelly@grantschoolcougars.com. In addition to the packet we do need proof of a valid ID and a negative Tuberculosis Risk Asssessment Questionnaire.
Private Driver Form - Please complete the form and return it to Emily Haker in the School Office or you can email the completed packet to ehaker@grantschoolcougars.com. In addition to the completed packet we do require a Live Scan (fingerprinting) ino roder to clear a background check from teh Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Live Scan is offered at no charge to the Volunteer.
GET INVOLVED!
Grant School has a number of organizations that support its educational mission. These community organizations assist with fundraising, event planning, school program recommendations, and voluntary support. Connect with the group of your choice to find out how you can become involved.
Centerville Education Foundation
The CEF hosts an annual dinner/dance fundraiser.
Through fundraising, the Foundation provides equipment and materials the school might not have otherwise been able to provide.
Music Boosters
The Music Boosters meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 8:20am.
The Grant Music Boosters are dedicated to supporting and enhancing the Music Program at Grant School. We provide crucial assistance with maintaining the program, managing supplies, and promoting the overall health and wellness of the Music Department. Our support spans all facets of the music environment, including concerts, band, choir, and the spring musical. Every student at Grant, from preschool through 8th grade, has the opportunity to participate in a vibrant and comprehensive music education. Music Boosters meet in the music room on the first Tuesday of each month during the school year.
Parent/Teacher Organization
PTO meetings are held the first Thursday of the month at 3:15 p.m. in the library.
The PTO develops programs to support educational objectives, runs fundraisers to bring in funds for school programs, and provides awareness of issues involving the students and the school.
School Site Council/Safety Committee
The Council is responsible for the administration of school improvement funds. They also make recommendations for improvement to the educational program. They also review, revise, and approve the Safe School Plan.
Sports Boosters Club
The Sports Boosters Club supports the activities of the Grant Sports Program. The various fundraising efforts on the part of the Boosters provide equipment and uniforms for the sports program.
