A message from GRANT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT
Hello and happy Monday everyone. This is Mr. Freeman emailing from Grant Elementary School and I want to wish you all a Happy 2019! I hope that everyone has had a great break. We are ready to get back into the school business tomorrow so I thought that I would call with a sneak peek at this week at Grant School. Tomorrow morning we get things started early with our Music Boosters Meeting happening in the VAPA Room at 7:30. Exciting things are happening with Music Boosters as they are helping to send our students to Universal Studios in the spring and getting ready to put on Mary Poppins for this year’s musical. If that sounds like something you want to be a part of, we would love to have you stop by tomorrow morning. I also want to remind folks that this Wednesday we will be on a Minimum Day schedule with 4-6 getting out at 12:15, 7th-8th out at 12:45, and TK-3 dismissed at 1:15. Wednesday night at 7:00 pm we will have our monthly CEF Meeting in the Library. Hopefully you have your calendars marked for their annual fundraiser event that will be held at Win River on February 9th. This is a great event and more information about how you can get your tickets will be coming soon. Thursday is the tip off of our 6th-8th grade boys Cougar Classic basketball tournament. Sports Boosters is putting on this show and they would love to have help so contact Roxanne Beasley for information on how you can help out. The tournament will run Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Thank you Sports Boosters for putting in the time to make this event happen. Also happening on Thursday will be our PTO Meeting happening in the Library at 3:15. Finally this Friday is Blue and Gold Day so rock your shirts and show your school pride. As you can tell, there is a lot going on at Grant as we get things rolling in 2019, making every day count.
