A message from GRANT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT

Dear Grant Families,

This is Mr. Effa sharing with you the long anticipated Grant School Reopening Plan. After much input gathering, deliberation and hard work, the Grant School Board approved the Reopening Plan on July 24.

The plan is intended to give families an understanding of how Grant School currently plans to reopen on August 12. The plan is subject to change based on Department of Health guideline updates or orders at the local or state level.

We ask that you read the plan and register your child(ren) using the registration link in the plan. The registration asks you to select your preferred enrollment status to begin the school year. The choice includes Face to Face learning five days a week or Independent Study. The Independent Study choice will allow for students to learn independently at home while following the standards in class. Students in Independent Study will be saved a seat in class and can choose to return to class when they feel ready to do so. Completion of work at home should keep students at the same pace of in class instruction leading to a smooth transition upon return. Students in Transitional Kindergarten or Kindergarten also have the choice of attending school for a full day or half day. We ask you to complete the registration by Friday, July 31. Complete and accurate registration information will allow the school to set up staffing and prepare for a smooth start to the school year.

Grant School will be hosting a Family Zoom meeting this Wednesday at 4:00 to review the Grant Reopening Plan. Clarification of the plan will be presented at this time.
