Dear Grant Families,

This is Mr. Effa calling you on a Friday with two important messages.

First, I wanted to remind our families the Grant School Harvest Festival is set for Noon to 4:00 tomorrow. The gym has been transformed into a holiday display of games, activities, food and fun. We will also have outdoor activities and the famous Haunted House. Dress up in costumes or come as you are.

I also am calling to inform you Grant School received a notification from PG&E letting us know that they are potentially initiating a public safety power shut off. This shut off is tentatively scheduled to start Saturday afternoon, hopefully after the completion of the Harvest Festival. In the case that there will be power shut off through Monday, school will not be in session do to safety concerns. There is no official length of time for the power shut off at Grant School.

We will make an official announcement by 6:30a.m. on Monday whether or not school is in session.

As soon as the school receives notification from PG&E or we confirm power is back, we will notify you via text, email, phone, and Facebook. Please prepare to have alternative supervision for your students as the entire campus including preschool and daycare will be closed during a power outage. We appreciate your patience in this matter while we continue to establish protocol for these days of preemptive power shut offs.

Remember, together we are Grant.
