Hello everyone and happy Monday from Grant School.  Hopefully you are on your way to Chipotle for our Dine and Donate event.  PTO and our Music program will be receiving a portion of the proceeds from your dinner order tonight from 4:00-8:00.  Just present the flyer that we sent out and they will take care of the rest.  Thank you PTO for making that happen.  Okay, let’s look at this week at Grant School.  Let’s start with tomorrow.  Music Boosters invites parents out to their Booster Meeting tomorrow morning at 7:30 in the VAPA Room.  This Wednesday we will be on a Minimum Day schedule.  Thursday we will have our next PTO Meeting.  That will happen in the Library Thursday at 3:15 and all are invited to get involved.  This weekend is a huge weekend with our Mini Cheer Clinic Saturday from 8:15-1:00 and our CEF Dinner/Auction happening at the Win River Event Center at 6:00.  Tickets are going fast so if you have not picked yours up you can do so online or in the Main Office.  Tickets are now going for $40.  Silent auction, live auction art projects done by classes, great dinner, even better company.  You are going to want to be there.  CEF pours money back into classrooms so come be a part of a great cause.  That is Saturday night so book the babysitter and come on out.  Before I let you go, two things…Thing #1, I want to invite all of our Grant School parents to come on out Monday morning from 8:30-10:00 to the Grigsby Library for a closer look at the Triple P Parenting program.  This program is designed to help all of us with strategies and tips to make small changes in our parenting that can truly change our homes for the better.  This is really designed for everyone with kids and it is great resource that Shasta County offers parents.  Coffee and treats will be served so come on out.  If you are not able to make it, but you would be interested in an evening presentation, let me know and we can arrange that.  Last thing…we have a vending machine!  Students have been asking for a vending machine and Student Council delivered.  We are now offering healthy snack and beverage options for students during the day.  We are asking for your help.  Please have a conversation with your student about being responsible with their lunch money and make sure that it gets deposited into their lunch account and not the vending machine.  Even better, pay with a check or go to myschoolbucks and deposit money there.  The office and the cafeteria are not making change for the vending machine, so please do not ask.  This should be a great thing for kids but we are asking for them to use the vending machine responsibly.  Thanks for your help with this.  Alright, another big week.  I will see you all at CEF Saturday Night.  Let’s keep Making Every Day Count.  Thanks for all that you do and GO COUGARS!
