Hello everyone and happy Monday evening from Grant School. This is Mr. Freeman and I am emailing you with a look at just a few of the things that are coming up at Grant very soon. Let’s start by looking back on last Friday and saying thanks to everyone that came out and supported the Grant Garden’s Spring Plant Sale. In this week’s news, we just sent our 6th graders off to WES Camp for a week. I hope that our 6th grade parents are surviving without their kids. You will get your chance to visit them on Wednesday from 4:00-5:00 so hang on, you can make it. Later this week we have our annual Grant Preschool Yard Sale. I checked in with Bo and they are still accepting donations up to Wednesday so clean out your garage and drop off your unwanted items to Bo and he will take it from there. The yard sale will run Thursday and Friday from 7:00-4:00 both days. This Friday we will have progress reports going out to parents for our 7th and 8th graders and we will be hosting a track meet at Shasta High School Friday from 4:00-6:00. If you would love to help out, we would love to have you! Next week is a big week with our Science Fair on Tuesday, May 1st from 5:30-7:00 in the MUR and Open House for TK-3rd grades on Wednesday, May 2nd from 6:30-7:30. I mentioned last week about the upcoming Book Fair in our Library. That will run from 4/30 through 5/4 with special evening hours of 6:00-7:30 during the Science Fair and Open House. The last thing that I wanted to mention tonight is the Student Council Stuff the Bus event happening now through May 18th. Student Council has partnered up with KRCR to support their local food drive. Students are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items in one of the red barrels on campus. Help Student Council continue to make a difference by filling the barrels by 5/18. That’s it for me…Preschool Yard Sale this week, Book Fair, Science Fair, and TK-3 Open House next week. Thanks for your time tonight and for all that you do to help us out. Let’s Expect the Best coming down the stretch. GO COUGARS!
