A message from GRANT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT

Hello everyone and good Monday evening to you.  I am heading home for the evening but before I do, I wanted to email and give everyone a heads up about another big week at Grant School.  We are always talking about Expecting the Best around here and this week is no different.  Let’s start with tomorrow morning.  We will be having our annual Kindergarten Round Up tomorrow starting at 8:45 in the MUR.  Event parking will be opened up and I cannot wait to meet the next generation of Grant School Cougars.  We have a fun morning planned, starting with our PTO hosting a little breakfast reception for parents.  This is a great event, one of my favorites, and I hope to see all of our upcoming kindergarten parents there.  Now, it’s not just about Kindergarten.  Tomorrow we do have our Site Council Meeting tomorrow in the Grigsby Library at 3:15.  For parents of middle schoolers, I will be in the Personal Growth room hanging out with Mrs. Williams tomorrow evening at 6:00 for our Family Life Information Meeting.  This is a chance for parents to come and ask questions about our curriculum before our Family Life units start up.  Also tomorrow night, for everyone that is going to Peru with Senora Sumption, there will be the next Peru Information Meeting tomorrow night at 7:00 in her room.  Wednesday night I will be getting together with CEF.  This is our first chance to meet since the big Dinner/Auction event and if you would like to join us we will be in the Library at 7:00.  Thursday night we will have our monthly Board Meeting with our Open Session starting at 6:30.  That’s a quick look but you know there is so much more happening these days.  We have the Grant School Musical production of Shrek Jr. gearing up for their big show.  Opening night will be Friday, March 23rd and I know it is going to be great.  I want to thank the army of parent volunteers and our directors for the time and energy that you all pour into this show.  I cannot wait to see it.  Baseball, softball, and our 4/5 basketball teams are playing as well and I want to wish them good luck this season.  I could go on and on but I am out of time.  Thanks for all that you do to help us make Grant School the best that we can be.  Let’s keep it up!  Have a great night and GO COUGARS!
